Depth: Update 1
Hello everyone!
I am proud to announce my first-ever update and the end of part 1 of Depth. This is a very ambitious addition for me, so I hope everyone enjoys it. I’d also like to thank everyone for the positive interactions. Depth has done much better than I could have hoped.
Aside from the addition of the end of part 1, I have also fixed some bugs and improved the loading system. Some notable bugs I believe have been fixed are the settings not transferring from the main menu to the game and the gear page not working in the inventory.
In this devlog i would also like to talk about the future and intention with this game. Now that part 1 is finished, aside from bug fixes, I'd like to take some time to learn new techniques and skills to improve the game even more. Better modeling and animation are obvious choices, but music and self-made textures are a big thing I’d like to work on. Finally, I would really like to work on “advertising” depth. What I mean by advertising is, I would like to release a short animation in the Depth universe, maybe introducing lore and other concepts. This is an incredibly formidable endeavor for me, but I am excited because, along with game development, storytelling/ animation is a huge dream of mine.
